Cannot Play MP3s ~ MPEG_1 Layer 3 (MP3) Decoder Not Present

I have openSuse 12.3 with repos hacked around quite a bit (various 12.3/Tumblweed mix.) I’ve just tried to play an MP3 file in Banshee (also Amarok) & get above error. I searched for suitable packages but found none. Rather than reinstall, can this be fixed relatively simply?

When you played around with repos, but do not show us anything, how can we give you any sound advice?

Did you switch to the Packman repo for the Multimedia packages?

Well, as you think you are a Tumbleweed user, why didn’t you start this thread in the Tumbleweed forums. That is the place where otrher Tumbl;eweed userss will seeyour cry for help.

To play mp3 in banshee install “gstreamer-0_10-fluendo-mp3” from Non-Oss repos

Adding repo then reinstalling “gstreamer-0_10-fluendo-mp3” package worked thanks (it seemed to be listed as installed already though clearly broken.) I may have removed repo manually as says 12.3 & not Tumblweed. I must not blindly edit in future. Thanks again.

Also you can either Tumble or not Tumble. You WILL break your system if you are not careful. And 12.3 Tumbleweed has started tumbling according to
