Cannot Log in to my e-mail accounts from OpenSUSE 10.3

Hallo!I recently installed OpenSUSE 10.3 and configured it to access the internet.I am able to access all URLs e.g. Google but when I try to access any of my yahoo and gmail e-mail accounts a connection error shown below occurs

For my yahoo e-mail account
An error occurred while loading http://mail.yahoo.com/:
Timeout on server Connection was to login.yahoo.com at port 443
For my gmail e-mail account

An error occurred while loading http://gmail.com/:
Timeout on server Connection was to Google at port 443

How can I solve this problem?

Please respond to my inquiry as soon as possible and I shall be infinitely grateful.Thanks in advance.

You have some kind of block on the https port 443. Since it’s unlikely that you have a firewall egress rule blocking 443, the other possibility is that you are using a proxy and you have forgotten to specify the proxy for the https protocol in addition to the http protocol in your web browser.

That should be https://
