cannot launch Firefox from links, other issues too

Morning,
Seem to have lost the ability to have Firefox launch when clicking on a link in an email or document. I have to right click, copy the link location, launch Firefox then paste the url into the browser…
OpenSuse11.0
Firefox 3.0.6
K Desktop 3.5.9, release 49.1

Also, I am a fan of the break.com site. When I view the videos, I no longer get the controls at the base of the video to pause or play or any other functions. any other info I can provide to garner your assistance, please let me know…

KDE Components
Component Chooser
Web Browser: Set it to Firefox
