Try disabling ipv6 in Yast Network, Network devices
a reboot is needed
Try yast now
If problem still there:
To run updates
open a terminal
go su
type:
zypper up
Try yast now to see if updates has improved things
If not, try forcing an install of all yast packages
zypper in -f yast*
to install a specific package eg mplayer
zypper install mplayer
