I am running OpenSUSE 12.1 x64, Gnome 3. Perhaps that might be my problem, but I need some confirmation of this. I have tried installing Rubyripper from both the Lazy_Kent repo as well as straight from source. The problem is that the GUI version will not run. It complains about ruby-gtk2 missing. According to YaST Software Manager, ruby-gtk2 0.19.4-1 is installed, so there shouldn’t be a problem, right? Attempting to build Rubyripper results in “The ruby-gtk2 library could not be found. Is it installed?” appearing when I try to run rrip_gui.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Or is Rubyripper just another victim of the switchover to Gnome 3?
