OpenSUSE 13.2 RC1 64 bit with XFCE, running in VirtualBox.
I have attempted to install remmina using zypper from the command line. It came back with the following error:
Problem: nothing provides libvte2_90.so.9()(64bit) needed by remmina-1.0.0-11.1.3.x86_64
Attempt to install remmina via Install/Remove Software applet fails with the same error.
I have never had problems installing remmina in the past. This seems to be an issue with this RC1.
Software Manager is reporting libvte-2_91-0 as being available. Manually installing this does not solve the problem.
Should I file this as a bug? Is there anything else I could try?

Looking at my current factory install, I see that I have 1.0.0-12.1
I also have “libvte2_90.9”, but Yast software manager shows it as orphaned (i.e. not in repos). There’s also “libvte-2_91.0” which is in the repos.
Hmm, remmina-1.0.0-12.1 seems to require the orphaned version.
It looks to me as if some renaming is underway but incomplete. Maybe you should file a bug report.
I tried to file a bug report. It’s not my first time; in the past I was able to find my way around. It seems that they made some changes to the bugzilla site and I can’t figure out how to enter a bug report this time. And yes, I went through the help and the filing bugs pages but they seem like talking about the previous version.
If you haven’t already done so, then try using openSUSE:Submitting bug reports and select the “openSUSE factory” link. That seems to get one started in the right direction.
There is a problem to make the change in (novell?) bugzilla as it is to let out 13.2RC1 white-out at the same time to give the chance to report bugs for users.
Click on “File a new bug”, or click on “New” either in the top or the bottom row with the search field (either login first, or you’ll be asked for the login now) http://wstaw.org/m/2014/10/12/bugzilla.png
In the list of “Internal Novell Products”, “Novell Products”, and “openSUSE”, select “openSUSE” (D’oh!)
Ok, now comes the only part that might not be so obvious at this time: openSUSE 13.2 is not listed here.
But it’s not really too hard to guess either I think: click on “openSUSE Distribution (Bugs for current openSUSE releases)”
Then you’ll get to the “Enter Bug” form, with “13.2 Beta 1” and “13.2 RC 1” as choices for the “Version”.
Sorry, but I don’t really see what’s so hard to figure out here…
Of course you probably should “Search” for your bug first, maybe it is already reported.
