Cannot install OpenSuSE 12.2 on Macbook Pro (Mid 2007) with OSX Lion (10.7.5)

Hello,

I am having a problem installing OpenSuSE 12.2 on my Macbook Pro, and the problem appears to be one I cannot bypass. The issue lies in the partitioning suggestion which is given by the installer. I can see no way to edit the suggestion and tell the installed NOT to delete my EFI (200MB) partition /dev/sda1. Even though I have edited the partition scheme and manually told the installer NOT to format the partition, and not mount the partition…the partition suggestion still says ‘delete /dev/sda1’ and then further on down ‘create new volume /dev/sda1 (200MB)’. How do I force the installer not to do this? I cannot find any way to edit the suggestion which is shown when I click next.

Is this a known issue, and is there anything I am doing wrong or any way to get the installer to NOT delete and recreate /dev/sda1?

EDIT: My Mac is a mid 2010 not a mid 2007 as said in the post title - sorry!

Thanks in advance,

-Keith
