Problem: nothing provides liborc0_4-0 >= 0.4.6 needed by libgstsignalprocessor-0_10-0-0.10.21-999.pm.1014.1.i586
Solution 1: do not install gstreamer-0_10-plugins-bad-0.10.21-999.pm.1014.1.i586
Solution 2: break libgstsignalprocessor-0_10-0 by ignoring some of its dependencies

I have this problem ever since I deleted an orphan liborc package. Could there be dependency issues within Packman?..
Yes, I am seeing the very same problems. If anyone loads openSUSE 11.3 from scratch and attempts to do a complete multimedia update right now, you will get this problem. Trying to do a full update might cause the problem as well. Anyone that has working multimedia might think twice before doing a system wide update for no reason. It does seem dynamic in that the exact problem can change, perhaps as the library is recompiled for new versions. I think it has something to do with the various attempts to modify the multimedia setup in Packman, but I have no idea what the fix is at the moment, at least the standard posted repositories seem to have this problem. I show that liborc0_4-0 is missing even as its name is liborc-0_4-0 for instance and there are other issues as well. I have no idea when all of these will be fixed.
i ran into something similar when building some source code that needed liborc 4 4 and grater
there looks like a bit of a typo in the *.pc and the name in the rmp db
this ? might ? be one of the few times to force the install
this is not recommended as the first thing to do , but every so often …
Since about two weeks the same on 11.2. I had them already installed, but there are some newer versions on Packman and when you want to install them there are three dependancy issues. I choose NOT the break anything, but to not install those three newer version. And I am more or less waiting until somebody at Packman sees this and repairs.
As I’ve said in the French section, I have fixed this problem by installing liborc0_4-0 from a different repo: software.opensuse.org: Search Results
It is probably no real good solution. More of a temporary fix.
Thanks everyone. There seems to be a problem with Packman currently, probably due to a typo somewhere. Hope they fix it soon. In the meantime, I will search for the package elsewhere.
