Cannot find installed system - upgrade from 11.0 to 11.1

Hi all,

when trying to upgrade from openSUSE 11.0 to 11.1 no root partiton is found during the update. When selecting the root partition, an error dialog opens:
“No installed system that can be upgraded with this product was found on the selected partition.”

Is this a known problem?
Any help is welcome.

Is there any workaround available to upgrade from 11.0 to 11.1?
I could provide more infos on the system running 11.0 if needed.

Best regards

I’ve considered the 11.0 -> 11.1 update/upgrade, from your report, other reports and this bug:

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=439262

It does seem that this path is very fragile.
I did notice that the forum poll indicates 14% of people contemplating this route, with 60%+ opting for the DVD and 14% wanting to use the liveCD.
