cannot execute executable on opensuse 12.1

hi,

I am trying to start executable in linux. I have downloaded eclipse and I am trying to execute it…
when I click on eclipse executable it shows error “No any application found for executable files” why this is so…?

Just curious but what is the file type that you are trying to execute?

I am also curious, since when the correct eclipse is downloaded and
unzipped it just works as it is (from command line and by clicking on
the executable).

Please tell me the exact filename of the file you downloaded.

Where do you click on it (dolphin, nautilus …), what desktop
environment are you using and what is the precise name of the file you
click on?
