Cannot create new project in OBS

I am trying to create a new project in OBS in my own namespace home DJViking
When I try I get the message “Sorry, you are not authorized to create this Project.”.

What am I missing?

I am trying to recreate the following repository

Since this is missing from the Ruby Extensions repository.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/languag
es:/ruby:/extensions/openSUSE_Leap_15.2

Also, because I need to backport this package to SLES 15 SP2 Package Hub.

Are you already maintaining packages for openSUSE Leap 15.x? Those packages are probably already part of Package Hub for SLE 15 users via automatic integration!

Wonder why this package is not supported/provided by SUSE/OpenSUSE for both OpenSUSE and SLES.

Without knowing or seeing what you actually did, nobody can say what was wrong. Provide screenshot of window where you create project or provide detailed enough explanation.

But most likely reason is that you always need to supply full project name starting with your home project. There is no default. You may think you are creating in your own namespace, but in reality you are creating top level project.

I managed to create the project using the osc tool.
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:DJViking/rubygem-asciidoctor-pdf

Username, Password, email is in your .oscrc?

I had no problem creating a new project using the osc tool.
It was using the Web UI I got an error when creating a new project.
I will be using the osc tool from now on.

I know, this issue is old, but as it’s the only match when searching for the literal “Sorry, you are not authorized to create this Project.”, here’s the answer:

As seen in your screenshot you tried to create the project without your personal prefix, as there are no such instructions on that page.

In your example, the proper name would have been

home:DJViking:rubygem-asciidoctor-pdf

So did you Get valuable answer yet regarding this issue?
