Cannot add to gnome panel 11.4

All,
I have tried 2 methods to add to the gnome panel, but it isn’t working for the banshee music player.

If I drag/drop on there it doens’t take.

If I try to right click and add to panel and select it from the menu it also does not show up.

Anyone know what could be causing this issue? Permissions problem maybe?

I found another odd issue. It does show the added piece to the panel if I remote in through NX. So, I think i may just need to logout/in. Is there a way to restart the panels?
