Cannot Access Drive

I have a 130 gig internal storage drive, where i have tons of documents and anything else i dont want on my main drive. It was not plugged in when i installed suse 11.1, but now i have plugged it in and attempt to access it results in the following error:

“An error occurred while accessing ‘New Volume’, the system responded: org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.PermissionDeniedByPolicy: org.freedesktop.hal.storage.mount-fixed auth_admin_keep_always <–(action, result)”

How can i fix this so that i may use this? Formatting is not an option.

post here the result of this from a su terminal:

fdisk -l

just point out which is the disk in question.

Im a little unclear, seing as i dont believe the volume has a mount path, how am i supposed to direct it to which device? I have tried assigning a mount path but that fails to work.

Why didn’t you just post

fdisk -l

?
