Can’t access network shares

External HDD connected to my router. 1 desktop & 2 laptops can no longer access the network shares on that external HDD.
If selecting the icon, it opens a login panel, I enter UID & PWD, and it just keeps popping up the panel. KnetAttach reports failure to reach the share folder.

If I key in the IP it opens the share folder. If I select the folder, it comes back with ‘ACCESS DENIED TO (IP ADDRESS, SHARE FOLDER).

I have rebooted the router but it did not help.

Sugestions please ?

Did you check the share permissions on the router (acting as a samba server I assume).

THANKS! I thought I had but… :flushed:
I do not know how it got changed on the router. a reboot maybe.

But, IMO it still should have connected with my credentials.

Without knowing any details about the samba server configuration, I cannot comment further. :wink:
