Can Suse 12 be installed using live KDE CD on Wireless Laptop?

Hi all,

Am new to Suse Linux, and I have the latest KDE live CD of Suse 12.1 . . .

After shrinking Win 7 using the windows tools, and creating new partitions via gParted, can I use the Live CD on a laptop only connected to internet via wireless? Can wireless be detected and setup via the early install process?

My system is an Acer Timeline 4830T-6841 with Intel integrated graphics, sound etc. I can hook up an ethernet cable, but have to rearrange a bunch of things first, so, if a wireless install is supported, that would be excellent!

Thanks,

Greg

Yes
If wireless works on the Live CD it will work after install.
openSUSE does not use an internet connection during install

Thanks caf4926 - - it’s good to know all needed install files are located on the LiveCD.

PS - the Lake District sure looks like a nice place to live . . . hills, rivers, lakes, woods. Maybe a good place to retire.

Sure is
Just one of the wettest parts of the UK

It gives a minimal install compared to a DVD
Once installed you can go to the kde patterns in Yast Software Management and mark them again for install and it will drag in the full default kde install
