But would you recommend them?

It looks like the lightscribe one ( your second link ) only does a simple text label with a border.

The other one looks promising, but I was hopping for recommendations based on usage, instead of just a google search and taking the top two links.

So I guess I mostly looking for opinions based on experience as opposed to a simple list of software.

I’ve only used the Lacie software. Its ok, I burned some images with it, but frankly, I am very disappointed with light scribe technology. The lightscribe compatible CD/DVDs are hard to find in our local shops and they are also expensive. And I find it takes an EXCESSIVE amount of time to burn a CD/DVD with a lightscribe label. Plus the end result is in essence only different shades in one colour.

I purchased an HP printer capabile of printing on CDs, and I stictly now use that. It prints faster and the CD/DVDs look significantly better. I would not go back to lightscribe.

Um, your assumption is incorrect. I’ve used them both with Liteon
lightscribe drives here, they are ok but think a printed one is
much better. Not sure if it’s also the media, but they say burning
twice is an option.
