OK there’s no problem when I boot Gnome Suse 10.3 and look at my Vista share from Nautilus. BUT There is a problem when I boot Gnome Suse 11.0 and look at my Vista share from Nautilus.
So the version of Nautilus is 2.22.2. Googling the fault wth this info reveals a Nautilus bug in 2.22.2. See this link:

The ADS thing isn’t rel;evant IMHO. It carries throught to simple vista shares too as we see.
So RioSteel was put through an unnecessary analysis because there is nothing to be done at this stage until a fixed version comes along the line. I suggest to clintonmonk and others to find the share in Nautilus using the full address smb://server/share, and then bookmark the share in Nautilus like RioSteel did.
