Can not save files with KeepassXC

Hello,
Since few days I am not able to save the databases used by KeepassXC after a change. The error message is: “File already exists”.
When I tried to change the saving mode to “direct write”, the error message is: “system file can only be read”.
Anyway started facing this issue recently please? Any support is appreciated.

Did you check that you have write permissions and/or the storage path is writeable?

Actually, you are right. I don´t seem to be able to even create a new folder on C and D disks (seems fine in the Opensuse partition). So the problem is more generic but not sure where to start now. I didn´t change anything lately apart from distribution upgrades. Any ideas please?

That does not sound very Unix/Linux like. What operating system are you talking about?

OpenSuse but the laptop has a dual boot, and I keep my files on the D partition.
I was able to solve the issue by booting in Windows (which I hasn´t done in a long time) and then shut it down, then boot up OpenSuse again.
I assume Windows kept the partitions locked last time I used it, no idea why though.
Thank you!

Nice you found it.

Next time, please explain that you use a non-Linux file system when applicable. After all we are not clairvoyant.

And a feature in Windows calls Fast boot (or similar) should be off. Else file systems are not properly removed on the Windows shutdown.
