dictionary (where did you get it from and what tools did you use to
install it)…and, please describe exactly what you meant when you
wrote “it was unsuccessful”…that is, does it pop up for one
second and then disappear? or you can’t find a icon to click on to to
make it pop up? or you click on the icon but then the machine
freezes? or you click on the icon and the dictionary pops up but it
is in English instead of Persian?
in what way was the install unsuccessful??

are you an experienced Linux software tester? if not you should be

I just mount the .ISO imgae of the dictionary and the run its installer (.sh). It required to install in 32 bit system, and I was using 64 bit so I typed “linux32 ./installer.sh”. After that I used Terminal to run to get error messages.Next, I installed libgtk and oxygen-gtk due to its requirement. As a result I got the messages above.
It is installed in /home
I am using KDE 4.10
I used to a Fedora user and I moved to OpenSUSE some days ago.
I just want to install the RC1 in my laptop to report bugs for my own.

i would suspect that the install script included in the iso is
unsuitable for openSUSE…does the maker claim it is correct for both
Fedora and openSUSE (i see you say you were a Fedora user, did this
iso work ok on your Fedora? if so then i guess it should work on
openSUSE, but it sure seems the install process went wrong (or else
it would run, right?)
could you copy past that install script into http://susepaste.org/
and then post the URL back to here.
NOTE: there is no way i can help with rewriting that script, but
there may_be some around here who can…but, actually i think that
would be a job which should be done by the people who sold you that
dictionary…you did buy it, right? if they say it is supposed to
run on openSUSE (or all Linux flavors) and it does not, then just get
your money back until they produce an install script which works for
you chosen OS…

I did install OALD7 (copyrighted 2005) on an earlier version of
openSUSE. I cannot quite remember the details.
On my openSUSE 12.2, I put the OALD7 CD in, navigated to the
/media/OALD7/linux/ directory to find the installation script, using
Dolphin; launched a terminal emulator (I wanted to see error messages):
$ su -
cd /media/OALD7/linux/
sh installation.sh [Note: ‘installation.sh’ is not enough.]
Anyway, the following is what I got:
linux-ej98:/media/OALD7/linux # sh installation.sh
Verifying archive integrity… All good.
Uncompressing …
This installation doesn’t support glibc-2.1 on Linux / x86_64
Please contact Loki Technical Support at support@lokigames.com
The program returned an error code (1)
So, try running a terminal emulator:
become ‘root’,
change the directory to where the installation script is located,
issue a command “sh name-of-the-script.sh”.
And see what error messages you get.
