Can I use mod_authn_dbd on OpenSuSE (or mod_auth_mysql)

Dear all

Can I use mod_authn_dbd on OpenSuSE 12?
The module is available in /usr/lib64/apache2/ but it’s not possible to enable via /etc/sysconfig/apache2 or YaST.
And I don’t want to add it manually to /etc/apache2/sysconfig.d/loadmodule.conf because not to lose compatibilty to SuSEconfig

Thanks for your help

To be honest: I never look at this. I install the LAMP pattern + phpMyAdmin, enable mysql, create a mysql root password, use the Yast-http module to setup the serverside, done. In short: trust and use Yast.

This is from 12.3

Make sure that the “yast2-http-server” package is installed.

Add Module
Select authn_dbd from the list

when you write “OpenSuSE 12” do you mean openSUSE 12.1, or openSUSE
12.2, or openSUSE 12.3?

i ask because yes those three versions are different enough so as
to potentially change the one correct answer you need.

Thanks for the info!
I can’t find mod_authd in Yast. And SuSEconfig don’t activate it if I add it manually to /etc/sysconfig/apache2… strange…

Currently I’m using 12.1. I’ll upgrade to 12.3 soon and try it again.

OMG… I made a mistake… now it works!
I thought SuSEconfig will recreate loadmodules.conf but “rcapache2 restart” will do it.
SORRY, SORRY!!! And thanks for your help!

BTW: I can’t use Yast, because I edited some config-files manually.
