Can I remove ModemManager and Postfix?

I noticed that a fresh Tumbleweed installation (less than a week old) has ModemManager and Postfix installed and enabled (without me actively selecting them or asking for a mail server). This is a desktop PC and I’m pretty sure I don’t need them.

Is it safe to disable these services? Will they be re-enabled if the packages are updated? Is it safe to remove the packages? (Although, given the amount of processes ps shows, these two probably don’t make much of a difference.)

On postfix see:

ModemManager is a systemd service needed for 2G/3G/4G connections.

I see no problems disabling them unless you need then for one of the use cases. As long as you remember you did it you can always enable them if needed.
