I’m new to Suse and would like to change to the Gnome desktop is this possible and if so how?
- Either reinstall from DVD and choose Gnome instead of KDE desktop
- or run Yast software installer, view as pattern and install Gnome desktop environment
Here you can go as @please_try_again said
OK - downloaded it now how do I run it?
Assuming that you installed gnome, then logout of your KDE session, select “gnome” with the “Sessions” menu (toward the bottom left of the login screen), and then login. It should take you to a gnome session. And it should remember that your last login was gnome.
