Can I change default folder in KDE 4.2?

Whenever I use the “Open File” option in a lot of apps, it defaults to the /home/myusername/Documents folder.

I find this extremely annoying and would like to change it to be simply ~/

Is that possible, and how can I do it?

Remove the Documents folder!

Application Launcher > Desktop settings > About me (General tab)

Documents path:
Remove the ‘documents’ from the end of the filepath, apply and problem solved.
