Btw, that’s a HTML5 video, so flash-player is NOT used here.
AFAIK Firefox uses gstreamer-0_10 to play back HTML5 videos, so maybe you miss the appropriate plugins package?
It’s an MPEG4/H.264 video in a quicktime container, I think you would need gstreamer-0_10-plugins-ffmpeg for that.
For chromium you would need chromium-ffmpeg from Packman.
Thanks for the reply, I will have to fiddle with it tomorrow and see if I have the right plugins.
BTW, the video would not play with firefox on OSX 10.8 either. I am not really worried as much about that although I do find it odd. Safari on the mac plays it right off.
Yes I am sure it should all just “work” but for some reason I had to install the gstreamer plug-in, I think it just happens sometimes for whatever reason.
What I would like to know is who is this gstreamer person and how can I give some gratitude, thanks gstreamer people.
