C-Media Card Reader Not Working

Hey all,

I got a card reader and fan controller for christmas and I finally installed it this week. It works fine in Winblows XP with the drivers provided but I cannot read any memory card under Linux.

Since it works under XP I know the device works. I googled and looked but to no avail. It’s a relatively unknown brand. The drivers in Windows say the brand is C-Media but the box says AXP.

Does anyone have any idea where to start with this?

Did you sort it out? Because I have exactly the same problem with my c-media reader. It only recognizes the usb stick.

No, sorry. It was one of those things I gave up on. If I need to use it I’ll boot into windows for a min. If you ever get it working let me know.
