Hi All
I have given up trying to obtain a driver for my Creative LabsX-Fi Xtreme music card.
Can someone recommend a cheap sound card that they have working with SUSE 11.0.
Thanks in anticipation
Graham

You should start looking here: HCL/Sound Cards - openSUSE
BTW have you tried “alsaconf”?
Unfortunately, the Creative X-Fi is one of the cards listed on the Linux incompatibility list:

I’m using the SOUND BLASTER LIVE! 5.1 PCI sound card as shown in the link below. It works great in Linux and it gives me great sound. It’s also inexpensive, at only $10 or so. SuSE 10.3 also automatically detected and configured it for me too. I couldn’t be more pleased with it.

I also have a Creative X-fi card (works in Windows but not Linux). I managed to get a Creative SB Live 5.1 off ebay for about £10 and it works fine on OpenSuse 10.3.
