burning iso help

Hello there new to suse linux as i want to migrate across from windows. My problem is i have downloaded suse 11.3 and saved to a folder on my desk top.Don’t mean to be daft here but when starting my burning iso program(deepburner pro)i do not know what to select from the folder on the desk top to create the iso, thank you for any help on this, regards Paul

I’ve never used Deepburner pro and I haven’t been on a Windows desktop in a while, but if you right-click the .iso file, is there an option there to launch Deepburner to write it to a DVD?

i dont think its the burning tool its just i cant see the iso image when i browse to the folder were i have downloaded to so not really sure how to burn it

Take a look at the download history in your browser to confirm the file was in fact entirely downloaded. It’s possible it was saved to a different location than you thought? Search with Explorer to find it on the disk.

forget deepburner and use imgburn
The first time you’re running imgburn, right click teh shortcun then run as windwos administrator (windows 7)
Exit it, and put it in a blank cd/dvd
The autoplay will have burn image to disc
There’s a browse for image button click it, locate the folder u downloaded the image. It should be under your username/dekstop or something around those lines
Burn

I wonder if Windows has decided that .iso files are “system” files and therefore hides them by default? Open a Windows Explorer (not I.E.) and hit the Alt key. On the menu that pops up, select Tools - Folder Options. Under View (I think, I’m doing this from memory), there is a list of options, deselect the “hide system files”. See if the file is visible then.

Hi guys thanks for your help all working ok now thank you very much, regards Paul
