Built-in modem(AC'97) can't work on IBM x40

Hello:

After I installed the openSuSE11, but I found there is no config for the built-in modem on my IBM x40 laptop. Anybody can tell me how to enable this ?? Thank you very much!! Leo;)

And to a modem - you will need to install ndiswrapper to get it to work.

As a starting point, you should identify your modem chipset with the scanmodem utility linked to this site.

I’m guessing you’ll have a Conexant chipset. If so, you can try the Linuxant drivers.
