Building openSUSE Images for s390x in OpenShift Virtualization

Hello,

I am part of a team working to enable openSUSE by default in OpenShift Virtualization. To achieve this, we are developing “containerdisks” based on the cloud images of the corresponding Linux distributions.

However, I’ve encountered a challenge: while we can find cloud minimal VMs for x86_64 and aarch64 here, there are no available images for s390x.

I have a few questions regarding this:

  • Is there a way to build and publish the images for s390x?
  • If so, what kind of support would be needed?
  • Are the images published elsewhere?

You could clone it and adapt Kiwi template for your platform.
