Build using the oss source instead of the update source

How do I do this? Using the update source causes dependency conflicts.

You can define a version in BuildRequires.

But without more information, it is hard to guess what you want. Could you elaborate more? Which package do you want to build? Where? Link to OBS?

This is a feasible method, but not universal enough.

What I want to do is build on obs using only the software from the oss source as a dependency instead of the update source.

The repositories used for dependency resolution are defined in the project Meta.

<path project="openSUSE:Slowroll" repository="standard"/>
This is how I configure it, but the standard here still uses the update source.
