Budget Flatbed Scanner

Hi

Which budget flatbed scanner currently works under Leap 15.2

My Epson V33 used to work …but not anymore

Thanks and best regards

In general, all-in-one printer/scanners are cheaper than standalone scanners.

Here’s an openSUSE thread concerning a user with a Canon CanoScan LiDE300 flatbed scanner. The proprietary driver and ‘scangearmp2’ application work with this device, and recent SANE versions support this device via the pixma driver apparently.

Hi ozotto,

Since more than two decades I think the Epson support for Linux is very good. I’d stick with it. If you find a similar scanner I’m pretty sure it will be supported. You can check on their website before buying. But why do you say

Is it acutally broken or just not working under Leap 15.2 anymore? If you search for V33 on the Epson download site there is a new driver dated Feb 25:

There is still the previous version:

Either of them could be troublemaker or solution?
