Broken TaskBar

I use KDE
On the taskbar next to the clock, some small icons
When everything is normal, it usually opens a little window when we click on them.
After an update (I don’t know which one), these small windows no longer appear after a few minutes of operation
How do I get it working again?

I now see that the button in the left corner no longer shows the menu window.
If I click with the right mouse button and choose to change to Application Laucher the button will work again, but the others such as network, volume, etc. still do not work.
Can someone please tell me what to do to solve this problem?

Hello!!Can anyone say anything about this problem?Am I violating any forum rules?

I’m sorry that you haven’t yet been helped with this.

I really don’t know the casue of the problem. If it were me, I would probably remove my desktop configuration, and then start over.

I see you are still using Leap 15.1. Perhaps you should also consider upgrading to Leap 15.2, though there’s no guarantee that will solve the problem if you are still using the same desktop configuration.

How to remove desktop config and start over:
(1) logout. Then login to “Icewm” (because that does not use your KDE desktop configuration).
(2) open a terminal in “icewm”.
(3) In that terminal

mkdir OLD-CONFIG
mv .local .cache .config OLD-CONFIG/.

(4) logout from Icewm, and login to your usual desktop (KDE).

That should give you a new desktop. And you will need to configure it to your liking.

You can then look in OLD-CONFIG (probably OLD-CONFIG/.local/.share) for any data that you want to retrieve, such as kmail email or akregator subscriptions. I usually move that data back to the original location. But I only do that for a few applications – for the others, I just go with the new configuration.

After a week or so, when you have recovered everything you need to recover, just remove OLD-CONFIG (and all of its subdirectories).
