I am an Microstar S271 notebook user. I have problem with suspend to ram and hibernation when X server is running. When suspending, it hangs with an empty screen with a blinking cursor. When hibernating, it hangs after the ‘snapshotting system’ message is displayed.
On runlevel 3, it works ok (s2ram requires --vbe_post option, though). Updating kernel to 2.6.27.21 and x.org to 1.5.2 did not help.
Some time ago I was running openSUSE 11.0 and an older fglrx driver (don’t remember exactly).
Please let me know of possible workarounds here, or may I somehow install an older driver on 11.1?
All right, problem solved by rolling back to 11.0
