there are three “stickies” at the top of this forum, one (or more) will
guide you to a smile…but, if you can’t figure out how, one of those
will give the list of information you should include with your next
post, so the wireless gurus don’t have to ask…

Install Broadcom Drivers from Packman

But it might be worth posting the terminal output of this first:

/sbin/lspci -nnk

Follow the guide I posted for that device.
Follow it carefully, so to be sure you get the right package to match your kernel

Thanx, I will.

Well,I followed instructions but still no wireless active. BCM shows but inactive. How can I activate wireless?

Please post the result of the following

rpm -qa | grep kernel
rpm -qa | grep broadcom

Some how your broadcom packages are old

try this as su -

zypper ref
zypper up

Also show me your repo list

You added the wrong repo for packman
As su - do this

zypper rr 2
zypper ar -f http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/misc/packman/suse/openSUSE_11.4/ packman
zypper up

Just perfect ! Thank U very much !

Great
You might want to look at adding the basic multimedia packages

zypper in lame libavcodec52 libavdevice52 flash-player ffmpeg gecko-mediaplayer libdvdnav4 libdvdread4 libquicktime0 libxine1 libxine1-codecs libxvidcore4 smplayer vlc w32codec-all xine-ui xvidcore

Then do this:
(if you use kde): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10573557/Switcher%20Pics/11.4_packman_switch.png

Or if you use gnome it looks like:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10573557/Switcher%20Pics/packman%20in%20gnome.png

If you need dvd playback

zypper ar -f http://opensuse-guide.org/repo/11.4/ libdvdcss
zypper ref
zypper in libdvdcss

Thanx for the tips, I’m on KDE now.
