Hi
I’m a new user and I’ve just installed OS 12.2 with bcm4311.
It all works fine except the fact that the connection doesn’t start automatically after i restart my laptop. Also, my main connection isn’t even shown in the list after restart and can only be connected to when I press my wifi button twice to turn it off and on.
Is there a way to fix it because it’s a little annoying?
Hi
The following worked for me when using the Network Manager in KDE,
-
right mouse click over the network manager icon in the system tray and
select Network Manager Settings
-
in the Configure - KDE Control Module select the Wireless tab
–(if no entry is showing you will have to setup a new connection)
- then select your interface under the Connection header
- then select edit
- then make sure each of the boxes are ticked under Connection name,
– Connect automatically and
– System connect
then press ok
- if using the KWalletManager you will need your password for it and root
password to complete the changes
that’s it
if you are using the gnome desktop or network Traditional Method with ifup,
the above will not help
Thanks a lot! I had to “connect automatically” but I didn’t use it as system connection. Works perfectly
