Broadcom Hybrid Driver final step

I have installed the Broadcom hybrid driver for my BCM4310 card in my Dell
Inspiron 1525 laptop, and setup access to the wireless Access Point OK. But
the setting don’t stick between reboots.

The final stage of the Broadcom instructions are to run, as root,

modprobe ieee80211_crypt_tkip
insmod <path>/wl.ko

I find I have to do this after each reboot to switch on the wireless
capability.

Is there a way to put these two lines into a script that would be run as
root at each boot, possibly before user login?

BTW, the instructions at

<http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php>

are very clear and easy to follow for installing the hybrid driver.

You can modify what is loaded on boot by using Yast->System->/etc/sysconfig Editor->kernel->MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT. If special parameters are needed, then look in /etc/modules.d afterwards.

Many thanks. I’ll try that when I get home tonight.
