Broadcom BCM43228 on Acer Aspire One 725

Completely new to openSUSE with a Leap 42.3 x86_64 LXDE install on an Acer Aspire One 725. I tried following the Broadcom wireless sticky, but it didn’t work. Here is some relevant output:

$ sudo lspci -nn -d 14e4

Anyone know how to get this working. I think that I need a driver called “wl”, according to the website refered to in dmesg.

Hi Sauerland. Yes, which is why I tried the Broadcom sticky solution (which doesn’t work for me), and why I posted the output that I did. As I am new to openSUSE, I am unsure as to the driver/blob/firmware, not as to what my hardware or system are.

Three sets of updates later, it seems to be working now. I’ll mark this as solved.

Can you please tell what fixed your problem?
