I have Macbook Pro 15.4 Retina where I recently installed openSuse 13.2 x64. It features Broadcom 43xx Wireless adaptor. After installing all online updates I ended up with 3.16.7-7-desktop kernel. I installed broadcom-wl-desktop and broadcom-wl-kmp-desktop packages from Packman repository and successfully got my Broadcom 43xx adaptor to work. Just hour ago I received and installed new updates, which brought me to 3.16.7-13-desktop kernel and my adaptor stopped to work and not longer detected in Yast in Network Settings. Could you please tell me how can I fix it now?
while nothing to do with your specific problem. I had to revert to the previous version of the Kernel due a possible problem with this update of the kernel and nvidia hardware. I appears this version of the kernel has many bugs.
I solved mine reverting to the previous kernel with YAST.
Hi, thanks for quick reply. I also reverted to Nouveau… so I changed to load prevous 3.16.7-7-desktop kernel in GRUB2 settings. How to revert kernel via Yast? simply set to delete kernel-3.16.7-13-desktop [red x] in version list?
Great! and no, the removal of the kernel was optional since you still could boot into the previous version by selecting it with the advance option on Grub.
