Brigthness too low (Toshiba A305)

Hello guys,

When a turn on my laptop today I noticed that the screen is too dark, I look up in the power manager and the brightness is in the minimum, I changed in the max but nothing happens. In fact if the windows closes and open again the indicator is in the min.

What can I do???

My laptop is a Toshiba A305 with opensuse 11.2 and KDE 4.3.3

Thanks

Do your Fn keys adjust it?

I had this on mine with 11.2
I changed to the Default Kernel and all was well.

The original install gave me the Desktop kernel. If you have this, delete it and check the Default to install. Reboot.

N.B. If you have a graphics card compiled against the kernel, you may have to re-do it. My intel just works.

I’m running a Lenovo T61 with 11.2 64 bit. This happens occasionally on my
laptop too. To fix it I need to reboot and set the laptop to factory bios
defaults.
