Using 11.0 gnome 64 bit, I can change the slider for brightness and contrast in Totem video player, but nothing happens…
In Xine it works but I want it to work in Totem since that is my favorite player.
I’m using nvidia driver.
Can someone help me?

That would implie that brightness changes for overall desktop, but I only want changes in Totem.
I always figured out how the sliders get to work in previous opensuse, but no luck so far. It used to work by enabling video post processing in xine. This now doesn’t apply anymore. It makes it work in xine itself, but not in totem.
Is there someone who actually can change brightness with totem? Are there any gstreamer options which need to be set? And where? Something else which needs to be set up?
Still no solutions here? It’s the only thing left I need to fix in opensuse but really can’t find it. Is it to obvious or to hard? Almost every player can change brightness so it has to be possible.But other players don’t feel as good as totem so I really would like to fix this totem problem.
