Brasero disc copy: where do I get /usr/bin/toc2cue?

I’m trying to make an exact copy of an audio CD in Brasero. It says I need /usr/bin/toc2cue. Is there a repo I need to load?

And also, how do I find sources of missing plugins for various software? I googled “toc2cue” and nothing productive came up. Is there a magic database somewhere that can tell me how to find plugins?

Thanks in advance.

install cdrdao and it should work.

Thanks, kaiserhg. I installed cdrdao, but now neither it nor Brasero will copy. Brasero still asks for additional files, but it won’t list which files I need. I wonder if this is all because I updated to 11.3, instead of doing a clean install.

If you have any more suggestions, I’d be grateful. Thanks!

Start Brasero from a shell. (open xterm or similar, type in brasero and press Enter)
May be you get some information in the xterm windows. Just copy and paste it here.

When I run it from the shell, the GUI pops up as usual. I choose “Disc copy” and get the message, “All required applications and libraries are not installed. Please install the following manually and try again.” But there’s nothing listed. I close Brasero and get no output in the terminal. Just goes back to the prompt.

Make sure you follow this
