I have a Creative Zen player that has the option of formatting part of its disk as removable storage. I can connect this (on /dev/sdb using VFAT disk format), and can copy files to/from it.
What I want is to make it bootable (so I can e.g. boot & run a liveCD linux version from). However, doing a “fdisk -l” gives me reasonable disk size &c, but then says “this does not look like a partition table”, and prints some fairly obvious garbage as the table. Can anyone offer some sugestions on how to make this drive bootable?
Thanks,
James
