boot time

My new install of Leap 42.2 takes 2.5 minutes from boot to desktop. Shouldn’t it be shorter than that with ssd’s? What do others experience?

Is bit long :open_mouth:

try systemctl blame to see what process is hanging

Boot time for 42.2 does seem a bit long, but it is not 2.5 minutes here. On the other hand, shutdown for 42.2 is considerably faster than it was with 42.1.

Install systemd-analyse and try:

systemd-analyse blame
systemd-analyse critical-chain

It does not need to be installed. It is in there as part of systemd.

and it is not se, but ze;)

The commands are:

systemd-analyze blame
systemd-analyze critical-chain
