Boot Screen and login screen resolution change - tumbleweed

HI, I have an issue that the boot up and login screen resolution causes my monitor to display a message input not supported in the middle of the monitor, but it does let me see some part of the screen. I can login by typing my password, I can’t see it, but after the login screen the kde screen has a good resolution and the message goes away the system works fine.

The desktop config does not let me change the default boot resolution only my user resolution, I am unable to log in as root because I cant see the login screen.
The issue appears again when I switch to a login console ctrl-alt F1 for example.

What file do I have to edit to change both the initial load resolution and the login screen resolution. It is really annoying and did not happen before I updated to tumbleweed.

So what res does the monitor supportand what video card and what driver.

Have you gone into yast-boot loader section and set a different res??

will try that thanks
