Hi, I have been trying to install opensuse 11.1 on top of my vista. But there was a boot manager error. Any help would be appreciated.
Basically, after everything is installed, it says it couldn’t create the boot manager. So, I skipped that step. When reboot, it says there is no OS. I managed to log on to vista again using my recovery disc. I then tried to use the repair option on the suse disc. It detects an error for the boot manager. When I opened it, there were only two options, suse and suse failsafe. What should I do?
Hi, thanks a lot for that! I have now managed to load bootloader. But I have another problem. When I choose vista from the bootloader, I am redirected to the windows boot manager which still has the opensuse installer option. The uninstall program that comes with my suse disc says it’s unable to edit the bcdedit.exe file. How can I stop windows boot manager from loading? Many thanks!
