Boot & Login Errors

Hi

  1. I am having Dell Inspiron 3551 Laptop with UEFI Boot System & Ubuntu 14.04 LTS preinstalled.
  2. I love the productive features of OpenSuse and hence installed the same.
  3. I had FIFO Transcoder Underrun error at boot time and no touchpad support after login
  4. I based on Forum Advise changed Boot System to Legacy in BIOS and also disabled USB Emulator & like. Then installed OpenSuse, now I am in a condition to do my work. However has below errors.
  5. At boot, I get echi-pci port 1 reset error 110 USB cable may be bad. On login virtualbox-guest exiting because virtualbox-kernel-modules not loaded.
  6. I am able to use USB & Virtual Box.
  7. My touchpad sensitivity is high whatever I do
  8. My keyboard Indian-English with Rupee symbol changes to English US if I use ibus keyboard
    Could you kindly guide me
    Yours
    VN

Hi
This is VN from another id.

Boot Error:
I have resolved the problem.
a) In BIOS I disabled the following:

  1. USB Emulator
  2. USB Wake-up
    b) In the miscellaneous settings, I enabled USB Debug

I also removed echi-pci by blacklisting it as mentioned in Ubuntu Forum.
It worked

Log-in Error:
I have installed Open-Suse on my Machine.
In the Virtual-Box I have Windows 7 Home Edition 32 Bit

While logging in, my XFCE Desktop displays on the Lower RHS the below message:

VBox-Client : Virtualbox-kernel-modules not loaded exiting

However Virtual-Box works well

Hi
Again VN, now XFCE Desktop is not loading properly the error message I get is /usr/lib/xfce4/exo-1 permission denied
I tried installing LXDE and that’s also having similar error

Now KDE alone works

Hi
Even in KDE, I am finding that ibus keyboard is not working with Libreoffice
There is no Indian English with Rupee Sign as I got in XFCE

I have removed XFCE completely so that after getting a solution, I can install it properly
With many compromises, KDE Works
