I want to test Opensuse from a flash drive, using a live demo version (any version is ok).
I’ve downloaded and put latest LEAP 42 iso on a USB flash drive(using the prescribed tool) but the menu that follows boot has just “installation” i.e. no “boot live demo” (i.e. without installing) ?
Try the Li-f-e 42/1 version. That’s the education version, with both KDE and Gnome (and MATE). Use an 8G or larger USB. It will fit on a 4G USB, but it complains about disk space running low.
Thank you! I had the same question as I am wanting to test drive it and maybe try my first dual boot along Windows 10. Hopefully there is an easy way to do this.
Try the Life Edu iso. Use imagewriter to write is to a USB stick. Boot from that stick.
Once you install you’ll end up with a boot menu providing options to start openSUSE or Windows.
