boot cursor

Hello. I am not new to openSUSE (have been using it since 9.x) and currently run 11.0. I am not a big fan of the default (gnome) cursor set and change it to my liking. I was wondering if anyone knows how to make my changes appear as soon as GRUB starts (when the cursor first appears and gives the “thinking” throbber) … it is still the default openSUSE cursor until X finishes loading…

Any help is appreciated!

AFAIK this is not possible. The fancy cursor themes are applied after the X-server, the displayserver, starts. So, what you want is applying a theme to something that’s not yet there. Like in Windows you can apply the silver theme, but that won’t change anything to the boot splash
