This is a cosmetical question: during booting I had a nice green splash screen, but somehow that is changed and now I get a black screen scrolling all booting information on it.
Does someone know, how I can restore the preferred green screen?

Adding “splash=silent” to the “Optional Kernel Command Line Parameter” in Yast - Boot Loader Settings: Section Managerment … I think that’s what you mean.

Add this to the Boot Options on the menu:
edd=off
If that works, add it to your /boot/grub/menu.lst file on the kernel line.
