Publishers tend not to produce books on every version of a Linux distro; I suspect the one you have seen on Ubuntu will have been for a particular version and you will not see another one for a couple more versions. As long as it is not too old, a book about an earlier version should be OK or you can read the material on this forum for new users.
The most obvious book that you can get, is with the boxed edition of the software. That way you are also supporting the development team.
very true, but i downloaded it from the website,
i am in favour of supporting the cause and i do find it to be more interesting than windows, shame there are no books on amazon, i dont think.
if you know where i can get a book i will be glad to donate to the cause.
ok found one on Amazon, not suse 11.3 but 10.1 it had 4 and 5 star rating and good reviews, it was called “from novice to expert” or something like that.
i will let you know how i find it.
I have two books on Suse Linux. Although they are not relevant to the software of today - which changes very quickly - they help me a lot of times. One is “Suse Linux” written by Chris Brown and published by O’Reilly, and the other is “Beginning Suse Linux” by Keir Thomas and published by Apress. Both were written in 2006 (about 10.1 time). There are also books on KDE available.
Here is one on openSUSE 11.0 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server I found searching google:
OpenSUSE 11.0 and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Bible: Amazon.co.uk: Roger Whittaker, Justin Davies: Books
